Procedures
Ms. Zaki will be glad to meet with you to discuss the portrait(s) you would like to have painted. She can work from life, from photographs you have already, or from photographs taken at the time of commission by Ms. Zaki. Working from life will take several days of painting approximately three hours per day. Ms. Zaki keeps her clients updated on the progress of the portrait via email updates or periodical meetings.
Important considerations for commissioning a portrait include; the size of the portrait (please keep in mind where the portrait will hang and the additional size increase with a frame), the mood and attitude of the portrait, the setting (indoor or outdoor, seated or standing), and a color scheme that would be suitable for the subject and the place it will hang.
A 40% non-refundable deposit is due at the time the portrait is commissioned. A due date will be agreed upon between artist and client and full payment is due upon receipt of the finished portrait. Taxes will be extra. Framing and shipping charges are additional.
For further information, please feel free to contact Ms. Zaki at 770-979-3044 or geraldinezaki_comcast.net.
