About the Artist

Geraldine Zaki was inspired to begin working in oil over thirty years ago painting a variety of subject matters. An artist of boundless energy, her primary concentration has been on portraiture for the last ten years. She has commissioned portraits and paintings of various subject matters hanging in corporate and private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Ms. Zaki has also worked extensively in the Atlanta area as an advocate for the arts helping to bring fine art and art education into our community. She is a Founding Member of the Atlanta Fine Arts League and is active in promoting workshops, exhibits, and civic projects through the League. The Atlanta Fine Arts League created the Art From the Heart project where professional portrait artists are painting the portraits of Georgia service men and women that have given their lives in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ms. Zaki has coordinated between the families and the artists in addition to painting four portraits of these fallen heroes for their families. She is a graduate of Plymouth State University in New Hampshire graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Art and Art History. She has studied in formal workshop and classes with notable artists and delights in studying contemporary art and art history in her spare time.
